POTW #775

A brief bit of something. I don't think I personally even like this poem much, now that it's done. But you might!

Feathers

Duck had a prosthetic conscience
Worn like a toupee
A glib for camouflaging nonsense
As human right-of-way
Fingers fabricating consequence
By balloting crochet
Weaving tales of black or red
From yarn of neutral grey
But the TV cameras in people's heads
Add ten pounds to what you weigh
And so the favor went instead
To the other bird of prey
