POTW #789
(Week of 15 January, 2012)

A couple of weeks ago I wrote myself a note that I wanted to write a poem about this.

Assets and Liabilities

I write down things I want to do
To remember I wanted to do them
The pages are many, the moments are few
When I have the time to sort through them
The chaos and weight of the towering stacks
Of all the stray thoughts that remain
Are a kind of a capital property tax
Is forgetting a loss, or a gain?
