POTW #861
(Week of 9 February, 2014)

NEXT >>
A sequel to last September's "Cyborg Me." I continue to be encouraged by Google's having announced an intention to conquer death, coincidental with their purchase of Boston Dynamics, among other robotics companies. My cyborg dream will become reality! And then:

Cyborg Us

Cyborg me in the deathless Google future
Keeping it together using nuts instead of sutures
Implants made of silicon for adding useful features
Flesh and metal alloy blood and steering fluid creature

Cyborg you, a machine with human pieces
Grown in cloning vats for periodic new releases
Rivets, sensors, lasers, and exotic copper plating
Giving different meaning to the term "computer dating"

Cyborg us, built to last and be efficient
Tireless, adjustable, and basically omniscient
Curse the small necessity of plugging in for power
Fifty pounds of batteries still only last an hour

Check out "Ode to the Stuff in the Sink," Dave's illustrated book of "guy" verse (concerning the deeper philosophies of things like not doing the laundry, putting your feet on the furniture, and of course beer) at the Maximegalomporium (our store). And did I mention it was illustrated? Pictures!
