POTW #873
(Week of 19 October, 2014)

Max expands to fill the available space, physically to some degree, but mostly temporally. One must take poetry where and how it emerges. In this case, it did so as a quick bit of whimsy during my morning shower. It's not very Octobery, but I have no control over these things.

Incidentally, this is the first post in the twentieth year of the venerable Poem of the Whenever. Please celebrate according to your local customs.

Wake Up Call

I don't need an alarm clock
I have a little boy
Who starts each morn as a big rig horn
Blasting his vigorous joy

I've thrown away my alarm clock
Though if allowed to choose
There's one more feature I'd add to this creature
I wish he had a snooze
